Reader,
On April 17, 2021, at my husband’s farewell party, I had a severe stroke caused by carotid webbing—a rare and sneaky culprit. Today marks four years since that life-changing moment, and I’m still standing, learning, growing…and talking.
Stroke Talks was born from that journey: a self-sustaining space to bring awareness, build community, and remind every survivor that their story matters. If my voice has helped you or someone you love, consider supporting this mission so we can keep showing up for stroke warriors everywhere.
And if you do just one thing today—remember the signs:
Balance loss
Eye changes
Face drooping
Arm weakness
Speech difficulty
Time to call 911
To my fellow stroke survivors: You’re not alone. Bad days happen. So do beautiful ones. Keep going—you’ve got this. 🧠❤️ I would be lying if I said I never have a day of anger, fear, or sadness. BUT....I remember that I have a testimony and must share it with the world.
